Our customer, Endress+Hauser Flowtec aimed to bring this level of convenience to their employees by offering a user-friendly, online shop-like experience for ordering necessary tools and materials, combined with a flexible Click & Collect option to pick up items near their workplace.

Solution

To make this vision a reality, DigiFlow Solutions developed a fully customized, deep integration between Matrix42 ITSM used by Endress+Hauser and the Cora smart IT-machines.

Now, when employees need IT assets such as a headset, webcam, charger, mouse, or even a spare laptop or smartphone—even just 10 minutes before a business trip—they can place an order through the Matrix42 Self-Service Portal and instantly pick it up from the Cora smart IT- machine.

Alternatively, employees can browse and select items directly on the machine’s intuitive touchscreen interface, viewing available articles in real time. Once an item is picked up, the system automatically syncs with the IT Asset Management System and charges it to the appropriate cost center, ensuring full transparency over assets and costs.

For high-value items that require approval, the system seamlessly integrates with Matrix42’s approval workflow. This allows supervisors or cost center managers to review and approve orders before delivery.

IT service teams gain complete visibility over orders, pickups, and available equipment thanks to seamless integration with Matrix42. If stock levels run low, Matrix42 ITSM automatically alerts the IT team to restock.

Additionally, Endress+Hauser is deeply committed to data security and privacy of the people working in the company. With this solution, all employee and order data remain securely within Endress+Hauser’s infrastructure, ensuring full compliance with data protection regulations while safeguarding privacy at all times.

Just before the Christmas season, Cora smart IT- machines was transformed into an interactive Advent Calendar, surprising employees with treats while highlighting its benefits in a fun and engaging way.
